Ecclestone goes all out for daughters engagement
Bernie Ecclestone, the often grumpy boss of Formula One, shows he has a soft side when it comes to his family.
The 80-year-old billionaire held a lavish engagement party for his 22-year-old daughter, Petra Ecclestone, following the announcement that she will marry boyfriend Jamie Stunt, 26.
The engagement party, god knows what the actual wedding will be like, was held at Battersea Power Station's turbine hall, transformed for the occasion.
Ecclestone made sure it was a night not to forget for the 300 guests as he flew in popstar Rihanna by helicopter from Paris, France. That cost him an estimated £250,000.
Several supercars attended the event, but the star of the show was the white £800,000 Bugatti Veyron with the number plate 'F1' - owned by Afzal Khan - Ecclestone might want to get his hands on the flashy plates!
